School Ecclesiastical Philosophy
José Manuel Giménez Amaya delivered the lecture lecture "Cuerpo y corporalidad en el hombre: algunas reflexiones interdisciplinares" at the Real Academia Nacional de Medicina, Madrid, January 21.
Professor Rubén Herce, member of group of research Reason and Faith (CRYF), participated in the seminar "How did it all start? The Creation of the Universe and of Human Beings: is God compatible with the latest scientific explanations?". The lectures focused on the data that the latest scientific research on the origin of man and the universe can provide. Among the speakers were, among others, Richard M. Durbin (computational biologist who participated in the "project Human Genome" and leads the "Genome Informatics group"), Denis Alexander (director of the "Faraday Institute for Science and Religion" of the University of Cambridge) or Vuko Brigljevic (researcher of CERN who participated in the finding of the "Higgs Boson"). Franscisco Varo will remain in the Italian capital until June, working at research in the Roman libraries, especially those of the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross and the Pontifical Biblical high school .
