16 students from Spain, USA, Germany, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Russia and Romania make up the graduating class.
The University of Navarra closed the III edition of Master's Degree in Spanish and English as Foreign Languages and New Languages (MEI), in which 16 students from Spain, USA, Germany, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Russia and Romania participated.
After the classroom period of postgraduate program, they currently perform their internships in the institutes of the University of Navarra (high school of language and Spanish Culture and institute of modern languages), but also in public and private schools in Navarra and the Basque Country (Vedruna, Larraona, Liceo Monjardín, Sagrado Corazón, Irabia or Lasalle).
Some of them have oriented the teaching of Spanish towards the immigrant population, with the particularities involved in facilitating its acquisition as a new language by adults or young people in status of schooling (Red Cross of Tudela or Cardenal Ilundáin).
Other participants will carry out their internships teaching Spanish as a foreign language language in Finland (University of Tampere), Ireland (Rosemont School), Mexico (University of Guadalajara), Milan (University of Milan), Denmark (University of Copenhagen), Germany (Hochschule Esslingen, Fachhochschule Hannover) and the United Kingdom (King's College London).
Several of the students have combined this postgraduate program with the Master's Degree in faculty (MUP) in their specialization program in language teaching , which allows them to broaden and diversify their future professional dedication.
During the workshop the director of Master's Degree, Concha Martínez Pasamar, and the Deputy Director, Paul Miller, as well as the delegate and subdelegate of the promotion, Ane Jurado and Nekane Celayeta, intervened. The academic act was presided over by the Associate Dean of research and Office of Academic Affairs of the School of Philosophy and Letters, Juan José Pons.
