Banking experts discuss at the University on the functioning of the EU's single resolution mechanism

The Master's Degree in Banking and Financial Regulation (MBRF) of the University of Navarra hosted last Friday, April 26, the workshop 'ResolutionPlanning: The Journey To Resolvability Trends'. A workshop in which the main challenges of the single resolution mechanism of the European Union were discussed.

During the sessions, which were attended by experts from the Spanish and European banking sector, the challenges faced by banks and regulators when encountering credit entities and financial services companies on the verge of status unviability were explained, as well as the evolution of the regulatory framework in this subject. 

The workshop, organized by the University of Navarra at partnership with EY, was attended by more than a hundred people and included the participation of Antonio Carrascosa, Board Member of the Single Resolution Board; Eduardo Arbizu, Global Head of Supervisors, Regulators and Compliance of BBVA; Jaime Ponce, Chairman of the FROB; Alberto Casillas, director of department Resolution of the Bank of Spain and Alicia Sanchís, Head of Santander Global Support.
