Four years ago, the University of Navarra's high school Higher School of Religious Studies (ISCR) launched the first of five online diplomas at training , which are currently being taken by more than 350 students from 28 countries around the world.
Students Silvana Ramos, Manuel Maldonado and Sofía Roux, and former student Johana Mansilla, offer some tips on how to succeed in programs of study online for those students who are facing this study methodology for the first time, due to the quarantine established in many countries in the face of the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.
1. Organise your time
"Set a day and a time when you will work on the material. This financial aid to concentrate on the topic and give it the value it has" (Sofia).
"When things are left to the end, everything accumulates and learning is not optimised" (Silvana).
"It is the most important thing. It seems obvious, but it is often complicated" (Manuel).
"You can do anything if you want to" (Johana).
2. Find a space on work free of distractions.
"Sometimes we are tempted to study in bed or in an armchair and in the end the time is wasted. Disconnect from social networks or silence your mobile phone, they only make study time longer". (Silvana).
3. Work on the content during and after the exam. class
"Take notes in the same way as you would do in a face-to-face
class , then they will be useful for studying for the exam" (Sofía).
"Do the study exercises that the teachers propose once you have finished studying the corresponding chapter, don't let it pass" (Silvana).
"Underline the notes, financial aid a lot to fix ideas and refer to the most important things afterwards. And do the assignments and exercises" (Manuel).
4. enquiry doubts
"Don't be afraid to ask your advisor or your teachers. They will answer you as soon as possible" (Johana).
5. Don't be afraid of technology or a new one status
"The University has always provided me with all the tools and teaching resources I needed to get ahead in my studies" (Johana).
