Closing of the first edition of the DOCENS Program
Thirty-six teachers participated in the program

On Friday, May 27th, the closing ceremony of the first edition of the DOCENS Program Program was held at classroom 13 of the School of Communication; a total of 36 professors took part in the program.
The event consisted of a roundtable with the participation of Professor Emeritus of the School of Engineering of the University of Navarra and Full Professor of Mechanical Engineering, José María Bastero School who spoke about "The life of a professor at our university: memories, ideas, experiences" and Ana Barber Cárcamo, professor emeritus of the School of Pharmacy, Professor of Physiology. They were moderated by Tomás Gómez-Acebo, Vice President of Alumni. At the end of the event, submission of Diplomas took place.
The DOCENS Program has as goal to provide all professors who join the University of Navarra with the necessary training resources to exercise the teaching in the academic center. It addresses both institutional aspects, derived from the nature of the university and the characteristics of the higher Education , as well as issues related to the skills and knowledge necessary for a professor to adequately perform his or her educational task. It also deals with methodological and instrumental issues of teaching.
DOCENS is aimed primarily at faculty in training and has a duration of two academic years. The program is co-organized by the Vice-Rectorate for faculty and the Institute of Anthropology and Ethics (IAE). The Vice-Rectorate of the Office of Academic Affairs and the Quality and Innovation Service also collaborate.
