Francisco Domingo, professor at ISCR and School of Theology, passes away

Domingo has been Deputy Director of the high school Superior of Religious Sciences and director of the department of Pastoral and catechesis, among many other positions.

Francisco Domingo, former professor at the University of Navarra, has passed away. At the campus of Pamplona he held the positions of Deputy Director of the high school Superior of Religious Sciences and director of the department of Pastoral Ministry and catechesis. After his retirement in 2011, he exercised pastoral work at high school Irabia.

Francisco Domingo (Bilbao, 1941) graduated in Industrial Engineering in 1965 and was ordained a priest in 1983. He later studied theology at programs of study in Spain and Rome, and received his degree and doctorate at discipline from the University of Navarra.

Professor Domingo was professor and director in several educational centers in Andalusia of 'Fomento de Centros de teaching' and 'Attendis': Ahlzahir (Córdoba), Guadalete (El Puerto de Santa María) and Montecalpe (Algeciras). There, in addition, he taught courses of training of academic staff and family orientation programs.

Didactic courses for the academic staff of religion

After receiving his doctorate from the University of Navarra in 1986, he joined the School of Theology as a professor. In the academic center he also collaborated in the teaching and research activities of the current high school of Anthropology and Ethics (IAE), developed several courses on topics of Dogmatic and Moral Theology in the Schools of Communication, Philosophy and Letters and Architecture of the University.

In addition to his work at campus, he participated in the organization and development of didactic courses for academic staff and directed specific courses for training of academic staff of Religion in Puerto Rico, Panama, El Salvador, Dominican Republic and in several Spanish cities.

Professor Domingo is the author of the following books: Critical Edition of the Roman Catechism of St. Pius V (1989), Introduction to the Pedagogy of Faith (2001), The School Religious teaching (2003), Christology (2004), and The God of Revelation. Creation and Providence (2005).
