The Studium Foundation, which holds the copyright to the works of St. Josemaría Escrivá, presented last Friday, September 29, in Valencia the new portal escriva.org, a web platform that provides universal access to all the published works of the founder of Opus Dei.

The event graduate 'Books of Fire' was attended by Mariano Fazio, auxiliary vicar of Opus Dei, Ana Escauriaza, historian and researcher at CEJE(Centro de programs of study Josemaría Escrivá de Balaguer) and Ricardo Velesar, member of ONCE.

In his address exhibition, Mariano Fazio stressed that the works written by the founder of Opus Dei continue to be relevant today and that they help us to draw closer to God. He pointed out some elements that are present in his writings, as a common thread: the universal call to holiness, the sense of divine filiation, openness and submission to others, love for freedom and love for the Church and the Pope.

Historian Ana Escauriaza, for her part, stressed in her talk that "St. Josemaría's message transcends Opus Dei and his time. She recognized that Escriva's writings belong to a specific historical context and staff and that the task of CEJE researchers is to contextualize them, since "the meaning does not change, but our way of understanding them can.

Finally, Ricardo Velesar, shared his conversion experience and explained the accessibility advantages of the new website for the visually impaired: "This website is good news because it will allow many people around the world, regardless of their status, to access the works of this saint".

The improvements and new features of this new web platform focus on addressing four problems identified in the old escrivaobras.org: available languages, viewing difficulties, connection problems and device compatibility. Currently, escriva.org offers translations in 24 languages, with plans to gradually add more.
