The University of Navarra celebrated a tribute to Juan Cruz Cruz on his retirement as professor of the School of Philosophy and Letters and of the School Ecclesiastical Philosophy. Juan Cruz Cruz Cruz is graduate in Philosophy and Letters from the Complutense University of Madrid (1964) and PhD in Philosophy and Letters from the University of Navarra (1966). He joined the academic center in 1964. There he met his wife Laura, whom he married in 1968, and they started a family of 10 children. In addition, he has been a professor tutor at the Universidad Nacional de Education a Distancia for 14 years and, previously, Associate Professor at the Escuela de Magisterio de Navarra.
He has also taught special or doctorate courses at other universities, such as Menéndez Pelayo, Autónoma de Madrid, Austral (Argentina), Montevideo, Los Andes (Chile), Mendoza, Panamericana (Mexico), Cuyo (Mendoza, Argentina), Piura (Peru), etc.
He is one of the promoters of the magazine yearbook Filosófico, of which he has been secretary for 17 years and 11 years director. He has written 38 books and around 200 titles of scientific publications including articles, chapters, extensive encyclopedias, translations and editions.
