Los profesores de las Facultades Eclesiásticas Javier Sesé, Francisco Domingo, Rafael Rodríguez y Mª Jesús Soto reciben la Medalla de Plata de la Universidad de Navarra
Javier Sesé, Francisco Domingo, Rafael Rodríguez and Mª Jesús Soto, professors at Schools Eclesiasticas, receive the Silver Medal of the University of Navarra.
This year, 49 professionals have been awarded the distinction.
Professors Javier Sesé and Francisco Domingo, from the School of Theology; Rafael Rodríguez Ocaña, from the School of Canon Law; and Mª Jesús Soto, from the School Ecclesiastical Philosophy, received the Silver Medal of the University of Navarra, on the occasion of their 25 years of dedication in the campus of Pamplona. In this academic year, 49 professionals have been awarded the distinction, bringing to 1,547 the number of people who have received this award in the history of the University.
The submission was presided over by the President, Ángel J. Gómez-Montoro, who affirmed that this Medal recognizes their contribution "to this great adventure that is the University of Navarra". He also thanked them for their daily efforts "to carry out the different teaching, research, assistance and management tasks, often in the midst of many difficulties and shortages, in pursuit of a goal that goes beyond a simple professional obligation".
The President emphasized that the horizon of the University of Navarra is, as always, to offer a human and Christian university task of the highest level to society. "Even in an economic status as difficult as the present," he stressed, "we face these goals with hope, convinced that they will be achieved if we are faithful to the founding spirit and, therefore, we work with care, combining ambition in the goals with attention to detail, finishing each task well, however apparently modest it may be.
