The honorary committee is composed of Cardinal Zenon Grocholewski, Prefect of the Congregation for the Catholic Education ; Cardinal Stanislaw Dziwisz, Archbishop of Krakow; Cardinal Kazimierz Nycz, Archbishop of Warsaw; Cardinal Julián Herranz Casado, President Emeritus of the Pontifical committee for the Interpretation of Legislative Texts; Andrzej Dziega, Archbishop of Szczecin-Kamien; and Bishop Juan Ignacio Arrieta, Secretary of the Pontifical committee for the Interpretation of Legislative Texts.

Nearly 50 authors and contributors are involved in the Canon Law Code Annotated, which was first published in 1983. It is in its seventh edition at Spanish and the second in English, and has been published in numerous countries, including Spain, France, Portugal, Mexico, Italy and the USA.
