1. First of all, congratulations. What was it like when you heard your name announced as the winner of “La Voz de tu School?
It was a huge surprise. The competition among my fellow contestants was incredibly strong, and any one of them could have won. I felt so happy and satisfied because all the work paid off, and the audience really connected with the song.
2. What song did you perform in the finals, and why did you choose it?
I sang “Rabia” by Joaquina. It was my teacher’s suggestion. At first I was hesitant because it’s a little-known ballad, but we adapted it with the band to create a more powerful version, and it worked out really well.
3. How did your passion for singing begin?
Ever since I was little, my family and I have always sung for fun, especially at karaoke. Over time, I started singing in choirs and bands, and I also learned to play a few instruments, like the guitar, piano, and ukulele.
4. Were you hoping to win the contest, or were you just there to enjoy the experience?
I entered just for the experience. I had always watched the contest at the university, but I had never dared to participate. This year, I figured it was time to give it a try.
5. What was the most special thing about performing on stage at the Museum?
Feeling the audience’s support. A lot of friends came—including my entire soccer team—and I also felt very close to my family, who called me right before I went on stage.
6. What has this experience taught you about yourself?
That often, the only limit is yourself. If you don't dare to take the first step, things will never happen.
7. Who has been your biggest source of support during the competition?
My friends at the university and my family back home.
8. Is there an artist who always inspires you?
Joaquina. I also really like Billie Eilish and Lorde.
9. Favorite genre?
Pop.
10. Singing in the shower or in the car?
In the car.
11. A song you never get tired of listening to?
"From Now On" from *The Greatest Showman*. I listen to it before big moments.
12. A concert you’d love to go to?
Coldplay.
13. What are your favorite TV show, book, and movie?
TV show: Game of Thrones; Book: The Hunger Games series; Movie: Avatar and Pitch Perfect.

Beach.
15. Is there a spot on campus you like to hang out?
The plaza.
16. What makes you happy on an ordinary day?
The sun.
17. A word that describes you?
Restless.
18. Where do you see yourself in five years?
Working at a job I enjoy, maybe in Madrid or Quito, close to my family.
