167 students have started this Tuesday, September 1, their programs of study in the School of Pharmacy and Nutrition. Of these, 86 will take the Degree in Pharmacy, 56 will study Human Nutrition and Dietetics, while 25 will take the double Degree. In addition, 15 students are enrolled in the Diploma in Sports Nutrition, 7 in the International Nutrition Certificate and 16 in the International Pharmaceutical Certificate.
The new students come from 14 Spanish provinces and 13 different countries, including the United States, Russia, the United Kingdom, Panama, Venezuela, Mexico, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Honduras and Guatemala.
"This campus has been many months without students, who are the soul of the University, so we are very happy to receive you," confessed Adela Lopez de Cerain, dean of the School. She also encouraged all the new students to take advantage of the various opportunities offered by the University, while insisting on the responsibility of each one, already as health professionals, to contribute to the control of the pandemic.
For her part, the Vice-Dean of Students, Silvia de Carlos, invited the students to make the most of their time at campus: "It is a precious stage that you should take advantage of from today, a phase of your life in which you have the opportunity to grow professionally and personally. Each one of you arrives with specific circumstances but you all have the same goal: to become great pharmacists and nutritionists to take care of and give the best service to society".
During the workshop, the students were able to learn about the organization of the School, their advisors and course coordinators. In addition, they were able to hear the testimony of five students from higher courses, who gave some keys to successfully face this new stage.
