School of Pharmacy and Nutrition celebrates Patron Saint's Day

During the workshop , the extraordinary prizes of Degree and postgraduate program

The School of Pharmacy and Nutrition lived a festive workshop on the occasion of its Patron Saint, the Immaculate Conception. After the celebration of the Mass, took place the academic act of submission of the extraordinary awards to the best records, both to the students of Degree and to those who have presented and defended during the last course the doctoral thesis .

The Dean, Adela López de Ceráin, emphasized that these awards are "a recognition of effort and work understood as service, which are made available to society to contribute to scientific progress for the benefit of all".

On this occasion, the winners were Nora Astráin Redín for the Degree in Pharmacy and Natalia Ibáñez Soroa for the Degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics. As for doctorate, three prizes were awarded to Belén Pérez Solans, who completed her thesis thanks to a scholarship ADA, and Edurne Luque Michel and Lucia Gayoso Morandeira, who received scholarships from the Government of Navarra.

Once the event was over, students and teachers participated in a pintxos and potato omelettes contest in which the jury awarded, in addition to the final result , the originality and ingredients of each dish. For the first time, both modalities shared the same winner: Alberto de Juana, student of Pharmacy.

A paella and a monologue contest put the finishing touch to the Patron Saint's Day.
