Alberto Pezonaga, Paula Mª Domench and Jorge Tarancón win the regional phase of the International Biology Olympiad

The high school Oficial de Biólogos, the department of Education of the Government of Navarra and the School of Sciences of the University of Navarra presented the awards to the three students of second year of high school diploma who have won in the regional phase of the International Biology Olympiad: Alberto Pezonaga -from high school Liceo Monjardín-, Paula Mª Domench -from Miravalles-El Redín- and Jorge Tarancón -from IES Pedro de Ursúa-.
They received the diploma accrediting their position in the test from María Zabalegui, head of the Section of assessment and Quality of department of Education of the Government of Navarra; Rafael Mayorga, of the high school Official Biologists; and Luis Montuenga, Dean of the School of Sciences of the University of Navarra.
The three winners will compete in the national phase of the Olympiad, to be held in Vigo from April 7 to 10. The first six winners in this second phase will compete with students from all over the world in the international and Ibero-American competitions.
