3 of the 100 best biology students in the world

Three students who trained at the University have won two bronzes and two honorable mentions at the International Biology Olympiad in Hanoi.

The latest edition of the International Biology Olympiad, held in Hanoi (Vietnam), has brought with it two bronze medals and an honorary accredited specialization for three of the four Spanish representatives, all of them trained at the School of Sciences and the CIMA of the University of Navarra.

On the one hand, Alberto Maurel Serrano, from high school Sámer Calasanz de Valdemoro (Madrid), and Jorge Tarancón Diez, from IES Pedro de Ursúa de Pamplona (Navarra), won bronze medals; while Claudia Lombardo Díez, from IES Ramiro de Maeztu (Madrid), received an honorary accredited specialization . In addition to these four students, four other representatives - who also received specific training in Navarra after winning the national phase of the Olympiad - will compete for the best places in September at the Ibero-American phase of the Olympiad, which will take place in Brasilia (Brazil).
