The main companies in the European wind energy sector will attend the international WindEurope event to be held at the Bilbao Exhibition Center BEC! in Barakaldo (Bizkaia) from March 20 to 22.

From its stand, located in the space of the Energy Cluster of Euskadi (Hall 1 -A80), the technology center Ceit will exhibit its latest technological solutions in onshore and offshore wind energy.

The main players in the European wind energy value chain will meet again from March 20 to 22 at the WindEurope 2024 fair to be held at the Bilbao Exhibition Center, BEC! in Barakaldo (Bizkaia). During the event, the latest developments in the sector will be presented, which is of great relevance, since wind is set to become one of the main sources of electricity on the continent.

Over the course of three days, guests will be able to attend to an extensive conference program, along with multiple networking sessions, different topic areas, and will have the opportunity to connect with other industry players core topic on the exhibition floor.

More than twenty years of experience in the sector

The technology center Ceita member of the Basque Research and Technology Alliance (BRTA), will have a prominent presence at the fair with its stand (Hall 1 -A80) next to the Energy Cluster of Euskadi. From this space, the technology center will present its solutions for the energy sector, ranging from design and development of new mechanical, structural and electronic components, through the digitization of operations and maintenance, such as, for example, the implementation of new remote monitoring systems or corrosion detection and communications in hostile environments such as underwater, to the recycling of components, promoting the circular Economics .

Thanks to more than twenty years of experience collaborating with leading wind energy companies, the technology center offers ad hoc solutions to the industry in both onshore and offshore wind fields.

Pintxos and networking sponsored by projects from research and development

On each of the three days of the event, the Energy Cluster booth will host a pintxo and networking session. Each of the days will be sponsored by a project of research and development in which the cluster participates.

The first day will be sponsored by project Integria, in which Ceit participates. The project seeks to develop a digital model for the management of the structural integrity of floating wind turbines by combining sensing for in-service monitoring and physical models applied to critical components.

The European project Willow will sponsor the session on Thursday, March 21, which will be presented by Ainhoa Cortés, co-director of the group Electronic Systems and Communications at Ceit. Willow, led by Ceit, offers an innovative solution for Wind Farm operators. Its goal is to provide a smart curtailment solution based on data and open source to balance energy production and consumption throughout the lifetime of the farms. This is achieved through the development of a structural health monitoring system, which uses high quality data and Physical Models to assess the lifetime of the fleet and schedule maintenance efficiently.
