The School of Medicine welcomes 203 new students
Coming from 37 cities in Spain and 12 different countries, the students participated in an introductory workshop to the medical profession.

On September 2, 203 students began their medical studies at the University of Navarra programs of study . Of these, 84 will take the International Program in Medicine, a program that will offer them a global vision, and will allow them to develop their professional degree program in any country in Europe and the world.
The new students come from 37 Spanish cities and 12 different countries such as the United States, Iran, Russia, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, Brazil, Greece, Panama and Belgium, among others.
For their first day as undergraduates, the School prepared a workshop -Introduction to Medical Profession- in which professors and upperclassmen addressed some questions core topic, from counseling or the Core Curriculum to the work done by Tantaka, the benefits of sports for a medical student or the extra-academic possibilities offered by the University through Campus Creativo.
Dr. Secundino Fernández, Dean, reminded them that they are starting a long distance degree program but emphasized that they will always have the support of what is already "their" School: "We will always demand the maximum from you but you will always be accompanied by us. Take advantage of the constant encouragement of your professors, your advisors and your colleagues to become excellent professionals".
He also encouraged them to respond as soon as possible to what society expects of physicians: "You are going to see the world with a different vision: you have chosen to help people in their most vulnerable moments and you are going to have the privilege of caring for them and their families".
