The University of Navarra, Geosmart and Tracasa offer an expert course in Geographic Information Systems

It is aimed at graduates and professionals with or without previous experience, and will take place on weekends, at schedule compatible with the professional internship .

The School of Sciences of the University of Navarra, Geosmart Soluciones and Tracasa will give the Expert Course in Geographic Information Systems (CESIG). The course, which has the rank of degree scroll of the University of Navarra, is aimed at professionals from any sector and university graduates, with or without previous experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and will take place between January 10 and June 21, 2014.  

The program consists of 30 credits ECTS credit, with an estimated 750 hours of dedication by student. As a general rule , it is structured in nine-hour seminars, which correspond to each of the 21 weekends of the course. The content is divided into core and sectorial subjects, with a markedly practical nature.

The degree scroll is designed to be compatible with the professional internship , in order to facilitate travel and access to face-to-face classes at campus of Pamplona of the University of Navarra. On-site classes will be held on Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings at Sciences Building.

To obtain it, students must approve the corresponding exercises, exams and case studies, in addition to attend at least 80% of the classes. deadline of registration is already open.

Team of trainers
The Geographic Information Systems Expert course is divided into three modules that cover the different aspects of a GIS that any professional needs to know:Introduction and advanced aspects for the management and management of geographic information; Advanced spatial analysis and geoprocessing; and Sectorial applications.

The team of trainers is composed of professionals with experience as analysts, consultants and managers or heads of project, as well as professors from the University of Navarra.
