The short filmClosed until Monday", written and directed by Juan Camilo García and produced by Isabella Durán, has been the undisputed winner of the XVI edition of the Kino Awards. During the submission gala, held for the first time in the hall of the School of Communication, the team of students directed by García received five awards: Best Short Film, Best Direction, Best Leading Actor (Alfonso Vallejo), Best Editing (Anaisa Lejambre) and Best Sound (Henry D'Artenay).
The Kino for Best Screenplay went to Borja Echeverría, author of the short film "Sigue soñando", a production that also won Best Leading Actress (Leire Sánchez) and Best Cinematography (Iñigo Aramburu), as well as the Audience award . Two short films walked away with two awards under their arms: the musical "Villaviciosa del Carnero" (Best Supporting Actor for Ramón Elizondo and Best Music for Leire Torre, Carl Watermark and Dani López), and "Enterrados hasta las rodillas" (Best Supporting Actress for Nerea Madoz and Best Art Direction for Juan Manuel Meneses).
