The School of Sciences of the University of Navarra celebrated the graduation of three new graduating classes: the XLIX Promotion of Biology (24 students), the XX of Biochemistry (62 students) and the XVII of Chemistry (15 students). A total of 101 students surrounded by family members, professors and University colleagues participated in the traditional academic events.

"Thank you for having taught me, for making me a better teacher, thank you to your parents for having trusted us and, of course, thank you very much for having chosen me as your godfather and for your words that I do not deserve", were the words of the godfather of Biochemistry , Pedro Gonzalez.

For his part, Juan José Irigoyen, Biology, wanted to show his support for the students and offer his financial aid whenever necessary. "Remember that you will always have us at your disposal if we can help you in your future. This offer is real and we want to fulfill it as we have done so far." Finally, José María Fernández, elected godfather of Chemistry and who gave the final lecture, took the opportunity to remind those present of the relevance of reading and literature,"a chemist has to attend to other spheres not necessarily scientific to enrich his vision of the surrounding world - which he has to serve and provide with means of subsistence and continuous development - and abide by ethical criteria in his field of experimentation".

To conclude, the Dean encouraged to maintain the contact with the University and asked for a round of applause for the grandparents and relatives of the students.

The event was attended by more than 30 professors from the School, as well as the vice-deans Rafael Miranda and Ana Rouzaut, the General Manager, Miriam Latorre; and the Dean, Luis Montuenga
