Alberto Pérez Mediavilla, new Dean of the School of Sciences
The president has appointed Alberto Pérez Mediavilla, Dean of the School of Sciences, to replace Luis Montuenga.

Alberto Pérez-Mediavilla is graduate (1988) and PhD (1993) in Biology from the University. He is professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Degree of Medicine, of Cell Signaling at Degree of Biochemistry and of Metabolism at Degree of Human Nutrition and Dietetics. She has been Associate Dean of Office of Academic Affairs of the School of Sciences (2021-23) and Associate Dean of Alumni (2009-18) in the School of Pharmacy and Nutrition. She is part of the committee advisor of the School of Medicine for the implementation of the integrated curriculum and has been director of the Diploma of Sports Nutrition of the School of Pharmacy and Nutrition. In 1995 and 1998 he was visiting professor at the National Eye Institute (National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, Maryland, USA).
