Facing the study when making the leap to the university world can be more complicated than it seems. Exams subject test, knowing how to organize and prioritize your studies are some of the difficulties that students encounter throughout their degree program.

To provide support in these aspects, a group of students of the Degrees Pedagogy, Psychology and the double Degrees in Pedagogy and Teaching of Education Primary and Pedagogy and Teaching of Education Early Childhood, together with Elena Arbués, Dolores Conesa and Mª Carmen González-Torres, professors of the School of Education and Psychology of the University of Navarra, have founded the Learning League Club.

"The Club seeks to advise all students in their adaptation to the university world, and provide them with practical tools for studying their subjects," explain its founding students Mª Fernanda Acevedo, María Jurado, Margarita Lavilla and Aitana Mª Sánchez. "We have all gone through the stage of adaptation to university and we know that it is not easy. That is why we saw it as fundamental to be able to guide others from our own experience and listening to the experiences of others. We believe that in this way we can do our bit for those closest to us and get more people involved in this initiative," they add.

For this purpose, the future teachers and pedagogues will conduct practical sessions and workshops on different study techniques, and will support their colleagues with the development and knowledge dissemination of teaching materials.

They have also devised a specific program aimed at students from School of Education and Psychology. This is the Studymate program, whereby upperclassmen, on a voluntary basis, will advise first-year students on specific subjects. "In this way, the older student can help in a more concrete way how to approach the subjects that are more complicated for his or her classmate," they point out.

The next day, October 16, the Club has organized an information session for all students of the University. It will explain how the club works and the activities that are planned. For attend, it is necessary to register beforehand through this form.

A club that puts on internship the expertise of the professor

The Learning league Club allows these students, and those who want to help other colleagues, to put the knowledge acquired at internship on degree program: "Both at Degrees of Education and in Psychology, we learn throughout these years what the learning process is like and everything that revolves around it, as well as multiple techniques of oral and written expression. We also believe that our professions put us directly at the service of others," say the founders.
