The competition of Photography on Science and Nature of the University of Navarra enters in Facebook
The School of Sciences hosts a exhibition that gathers 49 images that competed for the initiative last year.
CFCN, the competition of Photography on Science and Nature of the School of Sciences of the University of Navarra, inaugurates its 2009 edition on a new platform, the network social Facebook, where participants can post all the images they submit to the contest.
The initiative, which has the partnership of the Government of Navarra, is open to any participant and has as goal bring science, technology, research and nature to citizens through an artistic and aesthetic vision suggested through images.
Photographs allusive to topic of competition must not have been awarded in previous contests. The submission period opened on October 1 and will close on November 10. The submission of the three awards -two of them endowed with 300 euros and one with 150 euros- will take place on the Feast of St. Albert the Great, patron saint of Sciences, on November 18.
50th anniversary of the School of Sciences
On the other hand, the School of Sciences hosts the exhibition of the competition National Scientific Photography Fotciencia 09, which can be visited until October 30 at schedule daily from 8:30 am to 8:30 pm.
The sample is made up of 49 photographs selected from the 650 that competed in the last edition of the competition, promoted by the committee Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC) and the Fundación Española para la Ciencias y la Tecnología (FECYT). Its goal is to bring scientific topics closer to the public through images that provide a different perspective on this activity.
Both events are part of the anniversary celebrations of the University of Navarra's Science School , which this year celebrates its 50th anniversary.
