Mariano Crespo offered the lecture 'Los sentimientos en la cuestión de la identidad staff' during the XIX Curso de Antropología Filosófica de la Fundación Universitaria Española. (Madrid, 15/03/17).
Public discourse
Ruth Breeze presented the poster 'On the use of complex cognitive discourse functions in written exam responses' together with Emma Dafouz during the 2017 conference of the American Association for Applied Linguistics (AAAL). (Portland, USA 18-21/03/17).
Cristóbal Pagán delivered the discussion paper 'The poetics of time: How poetic effects are created from the conceptual integration of entrenched patterns' at the symposium 'The Spatialization of Time: Crossing the Boundaries of Modality, Culture, and Literary Genres', during the International Convention of Psychological Science. (Vienna, Austria 23-25/03/17).
In addition, several members of project participated in the Third Annual Spring Research Seminar: Research Update in Multilingual Approaches and Communication at the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya (Barcelona, 24/03/17). They presented the following papers:

Education of Affectivity and Human Sexuality
Jokin de Irala offered a discussion paper on 'Education affective of children' in the Bishopric of Vitoria (Vitoria, 04/03/17). In addition, he gave a class in the Master's Degree of Psychology at the University Abat Oliva. (Barcelona, 13-15/03/17).
Cristina López del Burgo dictated a lecture under the degree scroll 'El primer viaje de tu vida: de la fecundación a la implantación' at the XXI congress Nacional Provida. (Pamplona 24-25/03/17).
Navarra Center for International Development
Joseph Gomes presented the paper 'The Geography of Linguistic Diversity and the Provision of Public Goods' at the 2017 congress of the Centre for the Study of African Economies at the University of Oxford. (Oxford, UK, 21/03/17). He also presented it at the Institute for Social and Economic Research at the University of Essex where, in addition, he attended a seminar by Katherine Eriksson. (Colchester, UK, 22/03/17).
Héctor Cárcel also attended the 2017 congress of the Centre for the Study of African Economies, where he presented work 'A New Currency for the East African Community? Support from a Time Series Study'. (Oxford, UK, 20/03/17).
ATLANTES Programme
Carlos Centeno participated in the roundtable 'How can we favor advance care planning' with the discussion paper 'Decisions at the end of life when there are no advance directives'. It was framed in the workshop of Bioethics in mental health advance care planning at the end of life, which took place in the Psychiatric Clinic Padre Menni (Pamplona, 23703/17). He also participated in the XXI National Provida congress with the lecture 'What happens if a patient asks us to die?' (Pamplona, 24/03/17).
In addition, he traveled with Eduardo Garralda to Rome for attend to the initial meeting of the PAL-LIFE Project, in which they are part of group of work international that advises the Pontifical Academy for Life on the dissemination and development of palliative care in the world. (Rome, Italy, 31/03/17).
María Arantzamendi gave the invited discussion paper 'Samples of gratitude in Palliative Care professionals' at the VII conference Nacionales de Enfermería en Cuidados Paliativos. (Madrid, 9-10/03/17).

Juan Pablo Domínguez gave the seminar 'Anti-Enlightenment Catholicism and the idea of Spain in the War of Independence' to the group of research in Intellectual History of Modern Politics at the School of Social Sciences and Communication of the University of the Basque Country (Lejona, Vizcaya 17/03/17).
Statistics Unit
Jesús López Fidalgo attended several activities in Italy and Spain.
-Facilitated a seminar series graduate 'Optimal Design of Experiments' in the Programme in Statistics and Mathematical Finance at department of Statistics and Quantitative Methods, University of Milan-Biccoca (Milan, Italy, 5-8/03/17).
-Delivered a seminar at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart of Milan, graduate 'Optimal designs for estimating and discriminating between models for the flow of particles'. (Milan, Italy, 09/03/17).
-In addition, he dictated the lecture 'Does the randomness exist?' at the high school of Mathematics of the Basque Country, BCAM (Bilbao, 15/03/17).
