Cima at Cima of Navarra has been accreditation a Severo Ochoa Center of Excellence, a distinction awarded to Spanish institutions that stand out internationally for the significance of their research findings. It is the first research center to receive this accreditation.

The Ministry of Science, Innovation, and Universities has awarded this recognition following an assessment process conducted by an international committee composed of renowned researchers. The accreditation valid for four years and, as stated in the call subject , "provides social and scientific recognition and prestige, one million euros annually, and priority access to other research subject initiatives."

With a budget of nearly six million euros (4.5 million for strategic initiatives and 1.3 million for staff ), this will enable Cima the development high-impact researchand attract top talent.
