The School of Sciences of the University of Navarra has published a new book on Environmental Education aimed at children between 6 and 8 years old. The book, entitled "Hi Nature!", includes basic and curious questions about nature, such as why mosquitoes weigh so little, why polar bears are so white, etc.

The guide, financed by the Agorreta Sisters Foundation, was carried out at position by Fernando Echarri, professor and PhD in Environmental Education from the University of Navarra; Leticia Romeo, biologist; and Miguel Javier Pérez, graduate in Communication.

Divided into five chapters, the book illustrates the characteristics and habits of some animals, with the aim of introducing children to the morphology and function of living beings, goal . "And, above all - according to Fernando Echarri, its coordinator- it seeks to develop the skill of learning to think. For this reason, it is made up of questions whose answers do not appear in the play. In this way, the little ones will force parents and teachers to think, so that together they can look for the answers to these fundamental and curious questions".

Also, all the content is written in English, "a language in which there is little children's material of this subject, despite the importance it has in the curriculum school and how important it is for the parents themselves", clarifies the expert in Education Environmental.

Finally, "Hi Nature!" aims to help children understand some of the mechanisms that explain how our world works, such as evolution, the relationship between the shape we have and the function we perform, etc.

So far, an edition of 1,000 copies has been published, of which several have been sent free of charge to more than 50 schools in Pamplona and the surrounding area.
