The University of Navarra has inaugurated the painting exhibition "Velázquez al descubierto", by the Pamplona artist Ana Pagola. The sample, organized by Cultural Activities Office, can be visited at entrance hall of Central Building until January 29.

The exhibition is based on the retrospective of Velázquez's work. "I have taken possession of his work and I have worked freely on the scene, the perspective, the Issue and the composition, altering the whole with my colors", the artist emphasizes. With a careful technique and an overflowing imagination, her work is composed of colorful and experimental paintings in which she creates an aesthetic characterized by the original staging of the characters.

Ana Pagola studied Fine Arts at the University of Barcelona and collaborated in film and television as teaching assistant props and costumes. Since 2010 she has set up her own painting workshop at place San José in Pamplona where she works intensively transforming the work of Velázquez.
