The University's Olympic Center programs of study celebrates the V Olympic Sports Week.

There will be a roundtable with Olympians Estela Navascués, Cristián Toro and Izaskun Osés and a drawing contest in which 2,500 children will participate.

The Olympic programs of study Center of the University of Navarra, in partnership with the City Council of Pamplona, the association Navarra de Clubs Colegiales Deportivos (ANACCOLDE), the Itaroa Shopping Center and Itaroa Cinemas, celebrates between March 13 and 19 the V Olympic Sports Week.

The initiative aims to disseminate the values of sport, in addition to promoting the exchange of ideas on issues related to Olympism. To this end, various activities have been organized, including a meeting with testimonials from three Olympic athletes, a children's drawing contest in which 2,500 children from 10 schools participated, talks on the values of sport, the screening of a film, raffles, etc.; 

On Tuesday 14, at 19.30 h., in Civivox Iturrama will take place a roundtable entitled "Sports testimonies", to position of Estela Navascués, marathon athlete participant in the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro 2016; Cristian Toro, gold medal in canoeing in the modality calm water in the test of K2 200m; and Izaskun Osés, bronze medal in athletics in 1500 m in the Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro 2016.

On the other hand, under the slogan "How do you imagine your family participating in the Olympic Games?", 2,500 children from 10 schools in Pamplona are taking part in the 5th Children's Drawing Contest on the Olympic Games. From this Friday, March 10, until Sunday 26, family, friends and all those who come to the Itaroa Shopping Center can visit the exhibition of the finalist drawings on the main floor.

The jury will announce the names of the winners on Friday 17, at 18:30 pm, at the conference room cinema of the C.C Itaroa. The 1st, 2nd and 3rd award will consist of a diploma and a commemorative trophy. In addition, the high school that has delivered the highest issue of drawings will also be awarded. Also, on Saturday 18, at 12:00 pm, the movie Somos los mejores (We are the best) will be screened at Itaroa Cinemas, where several gifts will be raffled.

Also, the Navarre Olympians Juan Peralta, Yolanda Soler, Marta Mendía and Teresa Motos will give talks on the values of sport throughout the week in the schools Liceo Monjardín, Our Lady of the Orchard, Sacred Heart, Santa Teresa de Jesús, Irabia, Izaga, El Redín and Miravalles. In total, 400 students will participate in the sessions.
