A book written by three professors from the University of Navarra reflects on how to guide vocational discernment

"Are your footprints the path. Reflections on vocation and freedom" has been written by José Manuel Fidalgo, Raquel Lázaro and Juan Luis Caballero.

José Manuel Fidalgo, Raquel Lázaro and Juan Luis Caballero, professors at the University of Navarra, have published Son tus huellas el camino. Reflections on vocation and freedom, a book aimed especially at young people and all those engaged in tasks of spiritual accompaniment, with the aim of guiding in depth reflection on the vocational meaning of life.

José Manuel Fidalgo, director of the University's high school Superior of Religious Sciences and co-author of the book, explains that these pages are designed "for all those who are seeking in-depth guidance for their own vocational discernment or for those who, engaged in tasks of spiritual accompaniment, seek formation in this field".

"The document is written with the hope of showing the greatness of the eternal call of God and of the gift of freedom (the highest gift of God) by which the person discerns and decides, in a climate of trusting prayer, the concrete path of holiness. A path marked by the footprints of Jesus Christ: footprints of love and service to others, which survive in the mission statement of the Church", he adds.

Published by Cristiandad, the publication can be purchased online on this page at a cost of 18.50 euros.

José Manuel Fidalgo is a priest, Doctor of Theology from the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross (Rome) and graduate at Philosophy from the University of Navarra. He is a professor of Dogmatic Theology at the School of Theology and director of the high school Superior of Religious Sciences of the University of Navarra.

Raquel Lázaro holds a Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of Navarra and is a professor at the University of Navarra. Philosophy at the University of Navarra. She has researched anthropological and ethical issues in the Scottish Enlightenment and early modernity. She participates in the research line of Religion and Civil Society of Institute for Culture and Society.

Juan Luis Caballero is graduate in Sacred Scripture by the Pontifical Biblical high school of Rome (2003) and doctor in Biblical Theology by the University of Navarra (1999). Professor of New Testament, his area of research is the Writings of St. Paul.
