Dr. Ignacio Melero obtains one of the most prestigious grants in the committee European Championships research

Dr. Ignacio Melero, co-director of the Immunology and Immunotherapy Program at theCima and the Clínica Universidad de Navarra, has received an ERC Advanced Grant. This is one of the most prestigious grants in the committee European Championships research, which is part of the European Union's Horizon Europe programme and is endowed with €2.5 million.

TheDr. Melero will coordinate a project messenger RNA-based cancer immunotherapy, which will be integrated into the Cancer Center Clínica Universidad de Navarra. "Immunotherapy is achieving unprecedented efficacy against various oncological diseases. This project aims to improve the performance of a subject (cDC1) in the microenvironment of the tumor tissue. To do this, we will apply new mRNA-based therapeutic agents that will be delivered both inside the tumor and through the liver."
