free entrance , gifts and more guided tours to celebrate International Museum Day at MUN

This year, the DIM focuses on "the future of museums in changing communities". Therefore, different audiences such as children, mothers or social entities will have a special role in the MUN.

Following the theme of this International Museum Day, this coming week the MUN will focus on "the future of museums in changing communities". It will do so with a special focus on the attention of different audiences. Specifically, a children's workshop and a contemplation workshop for nursing mothers are scheduled for Saturday 17; in addition, in anticipation of a higher issue of visitors, the MUN will double the number of guided tours and will give a free publication to each visitor, while supplies last. Finally, on Monday 19, the MUN will hold a meeting with representatives of the Navarrese social entities that make up the SociARTE network . As this year, celebrating its tenth anniversary, the entrance all the exhibitions is free.

"Ready, set, watch out!!!" (Saturday 17 at 10.30 a.m.) invites children between 5 and 12 years old to live the experience of devoting full attention to what we look at, using different languages present in creativity and contemporary art. There are still vacancies, and registration (8€) can be made at locker or web.

"My Milky Way" (Saturday 17 at 11.30 a.m.) is a space where nursing mothers can breastfeed while contemplating the photograph of French artist Pierre Gonnord Maria, Joao & Isaac, a mother breastfeeding her twins. This workshop is developed by Amagintzaa support group for breastfeeding and motherhood in Navarra. Places are full.

Guided tours and gift

The MUN will offer extra guided tours of its exhibitions. MUN Collection. Four Decades -which sample for the first time the jewels of its collection- and Eadweard Muybridge. Photography and Movementwith pieces by the man who was the precursor of cinema and the moving image. The visits will take place between Thursday 15 and Saturday 17, at 12 noon and 6 p.m.; on Sunday 18, at 12 noon.

In addition, those who visit the MUN between Wednesday 14 and Sunday 18 will receive a free gift of a book or Catalog of the Museum's exhibition available while supplies last).

The University Museum of Navarra has a marked spirit of social service, channeled through its SociARTE program, through which it makes its resources available to people with special needs. Specifically, this network already brings together 31 social entities from Navarre, which have been invited to its annual meeting on Monday 19.
