Charles Asare is a 12-year-old boy who lives with his parents and 6 siblings on a farm in a small village in Ghana. Three years ago, he suffered a fall that caused a spinal edema and, as a result, he has been unable to walk again ever since.

When two employees of the University of Navarra learned of his story through Father Dennis Yeboah, a local priest, they did not hesitate: they bought a wheelchair and sent it to the little boy to facilitate his mobility. After several medical tests that Charles has undergone, it has been learned that with an operation and rehabilitation he will be able to walk again. This treatment has a cost of 5,000 euros and, through Tantakathe Solidarity Time Bank of the University of Navarra, a fundraising campaign has been started for this purpose.

As Natalia Couto, coordinator of Tantaka, points out, "for us it is a small gesture, but it can change Charles' life. If 5,000 people donate just one euro that can cost them a coffee, we will have achieved that a child who was limited for the rest of his life can walk again. It is up to us to help him get his legs back.

Those who want to collaborate in the campaign can make their donation through Bizum, indicating "DONA UNAV" or the issue "33428", with the concept"Operation Charles". You can also make a transfer to Santander bank (IBAN ES74 0049 1821 02 2910571572), with the concept "Operation Charles". The benefits of the campaign will be used entirely to defray the costs of the operation and subsequent rehabilitation sessions.
