From the streets of San Sebastián to international gatherings in Rome, this year’s Holy Week has brought together a variety of experiences among the students of Tecnun.

Engineering student Xavier Ganuza has been one of the key figures who has experienced the revival of the San Sebastián procession firsthand. He highlights the opportunity to have given “testimony of faith” in the streets and to have done so alongside his entire family and friends: “I was struck by seeing so many people participating in and accompanying the procession with respect, faith, and enthusiasm. Seeing that faith isn’t something you experience alone, but something we all share, fills you with joy.”

Xavier Ganuza witnessed the revival of the San Sebastián procession after a 60-year hiatus.

Meanwhile, in collaboration with the Jaizkibel and Ayete university residence halls, a group Tecnun students traveled to Rome to participate in the UNIV meeting . Student Marcos Tello highlights the opportunity they had to explore the city and spend time with young people from different countries and cities. He also notes that the setting helped make Holy Week a special experience: “Rome is a very contemplative city, with churches and sacred art on every corner, which financial aid experience these days in a more profound way.”

Two different ways of experiencing these days, yet both centered on the same idea: Holy Week as an opportunity to pause, reflect, and share one’s faith, whether in the streets of San Sebastián or in the heart of Rome.
