International Physics in the campus
School hosts the VI School of Complex Systems of the Spanish Royal Society of Physics, with 25 students from 10 countries.
25 students from 10 different countries - Canada, Argentina, Colombia, Chile, United Kingdom, Germany, Poland, Italy, Belgium and Spain - will meet at School for the VI School of Complex Systems of the Spanish Royal Society of Physics, which will take place from June 20 to July 1.
Physics and Applied MathematicsIn total, the students will attend six interdisciplinary courses that may be of interest to professors and researchers from other Schools, as explained by director, department professor Diego Maza: "For example, Jordi García Ojalvo, from Pompeu Fabra University, will talk about the latest advances in physics at knowledge on cell regulation mechanisms". Another attendee, Hartmut Löwen, from Heinrich-Heine-Universität Düsseldorf (Germany), will focus on one of the most novel aspects of soft subject : "orientational and micronadator" colloids, which are nothing more than self-propelled particles, such as bacteria or spermatozoa.
Stefano Boccaletti, from the Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche (Italy), will present the latest advances in the dynamics of complex networks, area where he has published the most cited article to date in one of the world's leading physics journals, Physics Reports.
All courses include practical work, which will be developed both at laboratory and at conference room computers, for which it is recommended to confirm attendance.
