Next Thursday 20 and Friday June 21 will be held in Pamplona the summer course "Integrated service-learning to restore the landscape. Applied experiences around the river Sadar in Pamplona" that will combine in the same forum the service-learning methodology and the Education and environmental restoration.

The goal of this course is to address in an interdisciplinary way the Education and environmental restoration to understand the landscape in its complexity: "the landscape, in addition to rational, is also experiential, sensory, spiritual and aesthetic" says Ana Villarroya, co-director of the course and professor of Degree in Environmental Sciences at the University of Navarra.

To achieve this, goal will use a methodology that combines service-learning with environmental Education with the participation of speakers -professionals and students- from different fields: environment, Education, sociology, administration and gardening. "We believe that each person will contribute different but complementary visions, which will help attendees to open horizons in their perception of the landscape and in the way they treat and build it," says Villarroya.

The course is aimed at students, professionals and people from groups and associations interested in the landscape and the Education from its social and environmental condition. "The knowledge of our living environments both at staff and collective level is an essential preliminary step if we want to properly manage their evolution from the respect for the environment and culture, with creativity and imagination," says Maria Larrañeta, co-director of the course and professor of Degree in Environmental Sciences at the University of Navarra.

On Thursday, June 20, the course will be held at the Palacio del Condestable and will address, in a participatory manner and internship, three thematic blocks (values, keys and experiences). On Friday, June 21, a practical workshop will be held at the Sadar River in Pamplona (in the area between universities).
