The Roncal Valley will be the focus of a workshop of the Chair of language and Basque Culture of the University of Navarra.

It will take place on Saturday, October 22, at board General del Valle.

The Chair of language and Basque Culture of the School of Philosophy and Letters of the University, in partnership with Etniker, has organized the cultural workshop "Suelos tradicionales de Roncal/ Erronkariko Ugaltarriak". Sponsored by the Government of Navarra, it will take place next Saturday, October 22, at the board General del Valle de Roncal, collaborating entity.

The activity will begin with a presentation to position by Naiara Ardanaz, deputy director of the Chair, and the greeting of the mayors of the seven villages and the board General of the Valley. Pablo Orduna, professor at the UNIR and the Basque Culinary Center, will present the book "Ugaltarriak. The language of the stones of Roncal. Ugaltarriak. Erronkariko arrien elairëa". Then, Ángel Mari Pérez Artutx, from Bidankozarte Ekimena, will talk about "The mossy soils in Roncal". The program will also count on the interventions of Alberto Sánchez and Guillermo Bosque, from the association Fuset for the Rural Heritage, who will approach to the assistants the project brother in Used (Aragón). 

After a break, Pablo Orduna will present the documentary "Suelos empedrados. Artisan laying and drawings with boulders. Lost Trades". On the other hand, Aritz Larraia will give a session under the degree scroll "Prospective in the Valley: Protection as a Cultural Asset and Training Workshop". The workshop will end with a guided visit to the Shrine of Our Lady of Fair Love of the Virgen del Camino, where Jabi Petrotx will show the attendees the restoration of a boulder pavement.

The activity is free attendance until fill in capacity. The organization will provide attendees with a free bus that will leave at 9:00h. from the Pamplona Tennis Club. Those interested can reserve place in the mail mlarraza@unav.es before October 19.
