Dr. Javier Díez, director of the area of Cardiovascular Sciences at CIMA, has been awarded the award Peter Sleight of the European Society of Hypertension. "This distinction is a recognition for his research contribution and professor in the field of hypertension and cardiovascular protection," explains Josep Redón, president of the ESH. The submission of the award will take place during the annual congress of the scientific society, which will be held on April 28 in London.
graduate and PhD in Medicine and Surgery from the Autonomous University of Madrid and the University of Navarra, respectively, he completed his postdoctoral training with stays at the Necker Hospital of the René Descartes University, Paris, and at the Brigham Hospital of Harvard University, Boston. Currently, in addition to his research work as director of the area of Cardiovascular Sciences at CIMA, Dr. Javier Díez is Full Professor of Medicine at the University of Navarra and consultant of Cardiology at Clínica Universidad de Navarra.
