Success of the proposal of the students to "turn your health around".

Students from Degrees of Human Nutrition and Dietetics and Pharmacy of the University of Navarra promoted a cycle to improve health information.

A group of six students from Degrees of Pharmacy and Human Nutrition and Dietetics and the corresponding double Degree launched a lecture series graduate "Dale un giro a tu salud" (Give your health a twist), oriented to their peers in the academic center -and the general public- interested in improving their information on sensitive health issues, as well as in receiving some basic guidelines to lead a healthy and balanced life.

The six students who promoted this initiative, which brought together several dozen students in its first edition, are Virginia Orrillo, Diego Lonzano, Elisa Marcano, Cristina Morán, Cristina Grábalos and Esther Hernao. According to them, the idea behind the two talks of this first edition was to provide information internship,"since in everyday life it is difficult to distinguish, understand, select and apply in each case the information related to health that can help us to lead a healthy life", they emphasize.

The first of the conferences -at position of the professor and dean of the School of Communication Charo Sádaba- delved into a topic that she herself addresses in the Master's Degree European in Food, Nutrition and Metabolism of the academic center: the misleadingadvertising and the use of labels such as "without", "zero", "eco", "natural", etc. in many foods as mere advertising claims.

The second talk was given by Andrea Romanos and Clara Gómez, two graduates of the School of Pharmacy and Nutrition who are doing the doctorate in Biomedicine and Applied Medicine in Epidemiology and Nutrition of Breast Cancer. In their case, they offered advice oriented to university students for a healthier life and to organize themselves better during exam periods, from the combination of the most effective ally according to both speakers: food and physical activity.

Attendees to both sessions received an accrediting diploma . Professors Roncesvalles Garayoa and Diana Ansorena and the coordinator of programs of study of the School, Marga García, collaborated in the organization.
