The Master's Degree at research, development and Drug Innovation is redesigned to adapt to the changing needs of the pharmaceutical industry.

The programme of the School Pharmacy and Nutrition, with 32 graduates and more than 600 graduates, has been at the top of the specialised rankings for years.

The School of Pharmacy and Nutrition has renewed the Study program of the Master's Degree in research, development and Medication Innovation (MIDi) in order to adapt the profile to the needs of the pharmaceutical industry, a sector in continuous change. Thus, from the 2022/2023 academic year, the programme will be reduced from 90 to 60 credits ECTS credit and its duration will be reduced to 12 months, compared to the current 16 months.

"Our goal is to continue training highly qualified professionals for the work in the research and development+I, flexible and adaptable to the inherent dynamism in the pharmaceutical industry, a professional profile of great interest with great demand in the current partner-economic context", says Silvia Pérez Silanes, director of the Master's Degree. "The modification of the Study program will continue to allow students to acquire a training multidisciplinary of excellence in different areas related to research, development, assessment and drug registration. In addition, the training is maintained in the organisation and management of the research and quality, as well as in aspects of innovation".

In this way, the structure of research, development and innovation is maintained, but the optional subjects are eliminated and some subjects are modified. Thus, students will attend theoretical-practical classes from September to March and will carry out a work fin de Master's Degree (TFM) from April to September, project which can be done either at the University of Navarra itself or at its associated centres. A consolidated and recognised programme in the sector

After 32 promotions and with more than 600 alumni working at research and in positions of responsibility in the national and international pharmaceutical industry, the MIDI is one of the most consolidated programmes in the country. It has excellent data of employment rate that reaches 100% six months after finishing the Master's Degree and is positioned as issue one in the area of Pharmacy according to the ranking of "El Mundo", after 15 consecutive years. 

One of its hallmarks are the meetings, sessions with professionals in the pharmaceutical field that offer student the opportunity to learn about the latest trends and the most interesting topics in the sector, explained by the experts who are carrying them out.
