The University of Navarra is currently developing programs of study related to the conservation of natural resources, the assessment of environmental impact and the study of urban animal and plant biodiversity. The City Council's Museum of Environmental Education offers these university students the possibility of doing internships and participating in the publications Biodiversidad Urbana de Pamplona, an initiative of diary 21 Pamplona.

From the point of view of volunteer activities, the University of Navarra has been promoting since 2001 a group of 60 students and environmental volunteers who have participated in river cleanup work. The City Council supports these activities with the goal to involve citizens in the conservation of the natural environment and to raise awareness of the problems that affect our immediate environment.

All this infrastructure serves as a base for the training of students and professionals in subject environment.
