Insects from the University of Navarra Arrive in Bilbao

Insects account for between 60% and 70% of all known species. That is why the “ exhibition : Insects: Everything They Tell Us,”organized by the University of Navarra Science Museum and the EHU’s Scientific Culture Chair , will arrive in Bilbao on September 19. Visitors will be able to discover who they are, where they live, what their “ Anatomy ” is like, and how they interact with their environment and with people.
The " sample " not only aims to showcase the vast diversity of insects but also to explore their biology, behavior, and ecology, as well as their vital contribution to the food chain and the balance of ecosystems. Furthermore, in order to bring the world of insects to as wide an audience as possible, the " exhibition " has been designed with an inclusive and accessible approach.
The shapes and colors of bees, beetles, butterflies, flies, ants, and dragonflies—as well as the adaptations that allow them to thrive in habitats such as water, the air, forests, and farmlands—are just some of the fascinating facts visitors will be able to discover. The exhibition also aims to raise awareness about the importance of protecting these creatures, conserving their habitats, and preserving biodiversity.
The" exhibition " is open to the public free of charge from September 19 to October 4 at the Axular conference room , Bizkaia Aretoa-EHU. The “ schedule ” ( visit ) is open Monday through Friday at schedule from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. To conclude the “ exhibition,” a workshop led by entomologist Sergi Romeu will be held on the final day.
