Participants were able to enjoy informative sessions on different branches of science: "You really are what Genetics wants you to be!", "The human being in nature", "The hidden world of insects", "Artificial intelligence in science" and "Drugs: would you let your brain deteriorate before its time?".

The School of Science also organized educational science workshops tailored to the ESO and high school diploma curricula: biology—methods and tools for studying wildlife; geology—demonstration and explanation of the properties and interesting facts about different types of rocks and minerals; microbiology—the microorganisms around us; insects—characteristics of these small animals; Chemistry heat-sensitive and light-sensitive Chemistry , fluorescence, and phosphorescence; Genetics of STR sequences to create genetic profiles used in forensic science; Physics—how RFID and FNC cards work, which we use in everyday life for public transportation, trash bins, university access, hotel room access, etc.

On the other hand, on Saturday, November 16, more than sixty students from the 1st and 2nd years of high school diploma participated in the workshop Open Doors and Science Experimentation, in a workshop organized for students interested in Degrees Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry and Environmental Sciences, as well as the double Degrees Biology+Environmental Sciences and Chemistry+Biochemistry . The participants carried out internships at the laboratory on microbiology, Genetics and management of waste while their companions received information about the academic programs of the School, Internship Service and employment, scholarships and accommodation.

And on Tuesday, November 19, sixty students from five schools in the region will participate in“Forensic Science,a project by the Forensic Science School in partnership the National Police, School of Science School of Architecture at the University of Navarra, in which a research will be conducted to reconstruct a crime.

Science and biodiversity, a cycle for all audiences

On the other hand, more than 190 people attended the lecture series on "Science and Biodiversity" organized by the Science Museum of the University of Navarra (November 12, 14 and 15), which dealt with topics such as insects, urban biodiversity and biomimicry.

In addition, last Thursday, the 14th, the Museum organized a “science dinner” at the restaurant El high school, where 64 guests enjoyed an evening of fine dining, humor, and live experiments.
