More than a hundred students from high school diploma and 4th of ESO, from 19 schools in Navarra, have participated in the X Olympiad of Philosophy, held at the University of Navarra. University of Navarra. The students have competed in three modalities: essay, philosophical photography and philosophical video.

In the test of essay, to which 80 young people submitted entries, they had to answer the question "Does the proliferation of control measures to guarantee security allow and financial aid the exercise of freedom or does it only give a false and deceptive sensation of freedom?", with the goal to reflect on the conflict between freedom and security. On the other hand, 36 proposals were submitted in the philosophical photography modality and 8 in the video category.

The participating schools were: IES Basoko, IES place de la Cruz, IES Navarro Villoslada, IES Mendillorri, IES Zizur BHI, Liceo Monjardín, Sagrado Corazón, San Cernin, San Ignacio, Miravalles-El Redín, Ntra. Sra. del Huerto, Escolapios Calasanz, Irabia-Izaga, Luis Amigó, IESO La Paz de Cintruénigo, IESO Valle del Aragón, Padres Reparadores de Puente la Reina, IES Benjamín de Tudela, Escuela de Arte y Superior de design de Corella.

Bringing Philosophy closer to the students, promoting reflection, critical thinking and dialogue, as well as consolidating and complementing the contents of philosophical subjects are some of the objectives of this competition. It also seeks to establish links between the teachers of Philosophy of Navarra and to create spaces of communication between the teaching superior and the teaching secondary school.

The submission of prizes of the Olympiad, that counts on the sponsorship of the School of Philosophy and Letters and with the partnership of KukuxumusuThe publishing house Chair, Troa Bookstores, the department of Education of the Government of Navarraand the high school Oficial de Doctores y Licenciados de Navarra, will take place on April 16, 2021, at the University of Navarra.
