Architecture graduate, new Minister of Environment and Territorial Policy of the Basque Government

Ana Oregi promised her position during the inauguration ceremony of the councilors of Iñigo Urkullu's new autonomous Executive.

Ana Oregi, a graduate of School of Architecture of the University of Navarra, is the new Minister of Environment and Territorial Policy of the Basque Government. On December 18, she promised her position during the act of inauguration of the councilors of the new Autonomous Executive of Iñigo Urkullu.

Ana Isabel Oregi Bastarrica (Eibar, 1965) is an architect-urban planner from the University of Navarra and holds a diploma in Urban Planning Law. She also taught at the School in 1991.

Her experience in the Administration dates back to 1991, as a civil servant in the Vitoria-Gasteiz City Council. In the Basque Government she has held the following positions: delegate in Alava for Territorial Planning and Environment (2000), Director of Housing (2001) and Director of Water in 2002. In 2005 she was Vice-Minister of Territorial Planning and Water.
