65 university students receive Global Scholarships from Caja Rural de Navarra and FEUN
Registered in Navarra, the Basque Country and La Rioja, they will carry out international internships in countries such as the USA, the Dominican Republic, the United Kingdom and the Philippines.

“All of our stories will be filled with first-time experiences—filled with nerves and a sense of wonder, but also with excitement and, in this case, with confidence. The confidence that we have someone behind us who supports and stands by us. Thanks to Caja Rural de Navarra’s Social Action program, the University of Navarra, and the Internship and employment Service employment making this program possible for over 25 years so that students like us can have this experience,” said Sofía Bergasa Ollaquindia, a student at the School of Communication, speaking on behalf of the 65 University students who received the scholarship Internship Programscholarship this year. The scholarship awarded by Caja Rural de Navarra’s Social Action program and business of Navarra business Foundation (FEUN).
The program encourages university students who were born or are registered residents of Navarre, the Basque Country, or La Rioja to complete professional internships in non-EU countries. At the ceremony to submission diplomas and signature renewal signature agreement the University, the president of Caja Rural de Navarra, Ignacio Terés Los Arcos, emphasized that this work experience constitutes “a fundamental part” of the training and will help them grow as individuals and discover new perspectives and ways of doing things. He also took the opportunity to thank the University for its work in building “a better society.” In addition to this program, Caja Rural de Navarra’s Social Action department collaborates with the University through sports scholarships, volunteer activities other educational projects.

Training miles away from home
The scholarship recipients will continue their training countries outside the European Union. This time, the selected destinations are: Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, South Korea, Costa Rica, Ecuador, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the United States, the Philippines, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Peru, the United Kingdom, the Dominican Republic, and Switzerland.
The scholarship recipients are studying at various schools within the University: the School of Architecture 4), Tecnun School of Engineering (3), the School of Science 8), the School of Communication 9), the School of Law 6), the Faculty of Economics (1), the Faculty of Education Psychology (9), the School of Nursing 9), the School of Pharmacy and Nutrition 4), the School of Humanities and Social Sciences 2), and the School of Medicine 10).
When awarding scholarships, the following factors are taken into account: transcript , language proficiency language host country, the applicant’s resume, and the educational value of the internship by the business .
