The technical school of Engineers of the University of Navarra Campus Sebastian Campus- in partnership with Caja Laboral and the group Correo has organized the contest Mate.Net 2000. This contest is aimed at students of COU and 2nd high school diploma LOGSE and will consist of two phases. The Preliminary Phase will be carried out through the Internet. Every Monday at seven o'clock in the morning, during six weeks, a problem will be proposed. The answer must be given before nine o'clock in the evening of the same Monday. The core topic staff to participate in Mate.Net 2000 can be requested from February 28. The first problem will be proposed on Monday, March 6, 2000.

The first five classified in the Preliminary Phase will be able to move on to a written Final Phase that will take place in the facilities of the technical school of Engineers, on May 6, 2000.

The winner of each week will receive an electronic encyclopedia with atlas as an award ; the second and third place winners will receive a Palm Pilot V pocket computer; the fourth and fifth place winners will receive a digital camera.

The winning student of the Mate.Net 2000 contest will receive a multimedia computer complete with printer, scanner, webcam, etc., and his or her corresponding school will receive another computer. In addition, a laptop computer will be raffled among the participating schools.
