From the geographical landscape of the Navarrese mountains or the fauna of the soil; through research with laboratory animals, drug addictions, the neurology of aging or biological processes in water purification; to Thomistic cosmology, the Kantian roots of the current understanding of peace, feminist theology or the film industry in Spain; without forgetting Navarrese archaeology, medieval Navarrese romance, the precedents of human rights in Indian law or assessment and psychodiagnosis in marital conflicts. Such is the diversity of the subjects of study offered by the University of Navarra in its 32 doctorate programs during the 2001-2002 academic year.

Each doctorate student will have a tutor from the department that organizes the program in which he/she is enrolled. The PhD student will be advised by the tutor to make the most of the courses, seminars and research work that each program consists of. Last year, 152 graduates obtained a PhD Degree from the University of Navarra.
