The University hosts a lecture series on Spanish avant-garde theater.

Several experts on the current dramatic scene will visit the center starting on Monday, March 11.

The University of Navarra will host the lecture series "Teatro Español de Vanguardia" which, from Monday, March 11 through May 27, will bring together at the academic center's Central Building various experts on the current dramatic scene. The initiative is organized by the department of Hispanic Literature and Theory of Literature; the Cultural Activities Office and Social Service (SACYS); and the General Administration of the Book, Archives and Libraries of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport.

Víctor García Ruiz, promoter of the series and Full Professor of Spanish Literature at the University of Navarra, indicated that the goal of the conferences is "to present a vision of this art close to its staging and to promote the study of theater beyond the literary text".

Professor García Ruiz praised the level of the participants, all of them authors and stage directors and experts in staging plays: Ignacio García May, playwright and director of the Real technical school de Arte Dramático de Madrid; Javier Yagüe, director of the alternative conference room La Cuarta Pared de Madrid; Luis Araújo, playwright and theater actor; Alguis Arlauskas, director of scene and professor partner of the School of Communication of the University of Navarra; Eduardo Pérez Rasilla, theater critic and professor of the Carlos III University; and Phyllis Zatlin, professor of Spanish Theater at Rutgers University (New Jersey, USA).
