award Garcilaso de Diario de Navarra for Cristina Zurutuza
The award is given to the most brilliant transcript of the University's School of Communication.
Cristina Zurutuza has received the Garcilaso 2003 award , which is given each year by Diario de Navarra and the School of Communication of the University of Navarra to the student of the outgoing graduating class with the best transcript and professional practices.
According to this journalism graduate, "it has been very gratifying to receive this recognition, because I have followed it since I was a child and always looked at the lucky ones with admiration. In addition, it has given me strength to work hard and do quality journalism".
Cristina Zurutuza has brilliant qualifications and has completed a summer internship at Diario de Navarra. She has worked as a student intern in the Departments of average Projects and Public Communication, and has attended several academic seminars and language and computer courses: "I attach great importance to training, especially in these times when getting information is easy. What we need are criteria to access these contents, that's why I have started a doctorate in political communication in the department of Public Communication".
The ceremony was attended by personalities from the newspaper and representatives of the School of Communication, such as the Dean Alfonso Sánchez Tabernero, the vice-deans Mª Teresa La Porte and Ángel Arrese, and professors and colleagues of the winner, who received a parchment and 3,005 euros.
