400 students from 21 Spanish schools reflect on peace and coexistence at the University of Navarra.

They have participated in the 16th edition of the Excellence Program

Are social networks a space for coexistence or for confrontation? Can there be peace without force or domination? What are the interests behind international conflicts such as those in the Middle East?

These are some of the questions that 400 students from 21 schools in Spain were able to explore in depth at the University of Navarra. On October 16 and 17, they participated in the Excellence conference , a training program, promoted by the School of Philosophy and Letters of the academic center, to encourage young people to development skills for academic and professional life.

Accompanied by their professors, they reflected in various sessions on peace, coexistence and dialogue, the topic of this 16th edition, as well as approaching the university world through training activities and practical workshops in which they learned how to prepare a research work , strategies for public speaking or the keys to writing a good dissertation. The conference concluded with a session led position Francesc Pujol, professor at the School of Economics and co-director of EurekAI, which had the degree scroll "We all want AI not to hurt us, how can we achieve it?

Throughout the course, the students will work on the projects in their schools, and the 2nd year students of the program will defend them publicly in 2026, during the closing ceremony of this edition.

The Excellence University Program, which began in the 2009-2010 academic year, is the result of a partnership between various educational centers and the University of Navarra. In addition to promote a comprehensive training that encompasses cultural, scientific and ethical aspects, it seeks to foster a humanistic vision that enables students to understand and improve their social environment.
